4 years ago we trialled Lightfoot, a driver monitoring system, on the understanding that this clever hardware could improve our drivers performance, save money and reduce emissions. To be honest, we were skeptical!
Initially we agreed to just 12 units in May 2019 and watched with great interest how our drivers would respond and how our business could reap the benefits. Less than a year later we added 105 units and another year later a further 32. That in itself highlights that we could really see some positive difference, in more ways than one!

What are the benefits?
We have clearly seen that our staff have become safer and more efficient drivers and are rewarded regularly for their efforts while on the road. Over the last year alone we have saved 10’s of 1,000’s of pounds on the cost of fuel. This has meant that our Co2 has reduced significantly too, by over tonnes every month in fact - the equivalent of making nearly 10 million cups of tea!
Utilising Lightfoot systems alone may not save the planet but every month we can see the positive benefit it brings. Every little really does count.
